It's when you become so absorbed in a film, that idea of escapism, the fact nothing else matters at that moment in time. That's what I love about going to the movies. You don't have to think or worry about anything else other than what is happening right in front of you. A good film allows you to unwind in forms other types of media can't normally create.
However, much like Tom's feelings in "The Glass Menagerie",
“People go to the movies instead of moving. Hollywood characters are supposed to have all the adventures for everybody in America, while everybody in America sits in a dark room and watches them have them.”
Yes, there's a certain amount of escapism that people are allowed. My point is there's far too much dreaming and little doing. If you want to explore, don't just live your life through the high speed dramas or cute romantic comedies in the hope that it will one day just happen to you. Go out and find adventure. Live.
