Casual Nudity and Dog Shows: A Different Festival Experience

A very, very serious party unfolded over the weekend, one which I was lucky enough to be invited to (and by that I mean, bought two tickets for). I didn't know what to expect from my first SGP experience, however I can say that I was not disappointed. Secret Garden Party delivered on levels that many other festivals fail, it gave me dog shows, hot tubs, water slides, stunning fireworks, giant paint fights and casual nudity. As well as fields of sunflowers that were accessed by a mystery portaloo.

And although I didn't witness myself, it was rumoured the one and only Prince Harry joined in with our revelry and hedonism.

I must admit as festivals go, Secret Garden Party provided the perfect balance of activities, for those that enjoy the hectic raves and dancing till your feet ache, there was the Colosillyum to enjoy, crazy paint fights and 'wonky' races to be taking part in. Or if you've had a bit of a wild one and needed to chill, they had it in the form of free tea, massage tents, a visit to watch a play at the Amphitheatre (which, admittedly, came to be my favourite spot at the festival) or maybe even a spot of yoga.

There was just so much at the festival to enjoy, that you never really got around to seeing all it had to offer, I am just very happy I got to be witness to a small part of such a fantastic independent festival!
